Today we are thrilled to announce that Home for the Holidays is available for pre order now.
This is a collection of 20 traditional and original songs recorded instrumentally and perfect for the Christmas holiday season, all donated by some of the finest guitarists in the world. Between them, 2 Grammy's, 6 Grammy nominations, and 9 various awards for the skill at which they approach their instrument. In addition to players from the USA, there are guitar players from Ireland, Norway and the UK playing soft jazz to semi classical to new age all arranged to usher in everyone's holiday season for years to come.
All the proceeds received by New Folk Records will go directly to Purple Heart Homes www.purplehearthomesusa.org, a veteran founded and run non-profit that provides housing solutions for needy veterans. Since 2008, they have been working tirelessly to help and aid veterans who need help with housing. From the homeless, to those who need home repair and everything in-between. Purple Heart Homes is there to help.
Nearly every guitarist asked jumped at the chance to help without hesitation. Most had family who had served or knew of a friend who had and all recognized the need to do anything they could to help our veterans.

is in the studio working on a new project with John Wright, Steve Lehto and Christopher Furst.
Founded in Minnesota in 2002 by musician and producer John Wright, New Folk Records was developed as a bridge to bring the creative musicians John was working with and people who love good music.
In 2006 John invited Ken Onstad and Bob McMenoman to help grow his vision to greater heights. At that time, we began to look outside the folk and Celtic music scene and bring over artists of all genres that were gifted and needed a bigger audience.
In 2009 we were fortunate enough to sign a distribution deal with Music Video Distribution (MVD) for North America and beyond. MVD has been an amazing resource and support providing us to potential sell our artist’s music in nearly every record retailer in the country. This arrangement allows us the chance to work with artists around the world including Spain, England, Scotland and of course, North America. We continue to be fortunate to work with an amazing array of talent that we hope you discover and support. You can learn more about them by clicking over to the artist section of this site
Since 1986, MVD has been committed to serving artists and audiences. We’re in this business because we love great music and film. We’re big enough to make big things happen, yet small enough to quickly adapt to the changing needs of our partners.
